DXI Construction Selected for Holly Hills Development in Charlottesville
DXI Construction is proud to announce its selection by Armada Hoffler to deliver site development services for the Holly Hills Development, a new residential and multifamily community in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Mobilized in the summer of 2025 and led out of our Sterling office, this one-year project will be executed in three phases across two ownership groups. Upon completion, Holly Hills will feature:
- 7 total buildings
- 318 apartment units across five buildings
- 72 townhomes
- A full clubhouse amenity space
Project Scope & Complexity
Holly Hills presents both scale and technical complexity. DXI crews are actively managing substantial subsurface rock conditions requiring controlled blasting, as well as coordinating the installation of a new sewer connection through adjacent neighborhoods via easement.
These challenges demand a high level of planning, coordination, and execution to maintain schedule and quality standards.
Key Scope Highlights
DXI Construction’s scope includes:
- Installation of a VDOT roadway throughout the site
- Placement of a 66-inch culvert beneath 30 feet of fill
- Construction of three 84-inch underground stormwater retention systems
- Installation of 28 retaining walls
- Off-site sewer installation through existing residential developments
- Excavation of approximately 155,000 cubic yards of cut material
- Placement of approximately 130,000 cubic yards of structural fill
DXI Construction is excited to partner with Armada Hoffler and all stakeholders on the Holly Hills Development—helping bring a high-impact residential community to life in the Charlottesville region.
